ABOUT VINVOLVED
V is the £75million national youth volunteering charity aiming to inspire young people aged 16-25 to get positively involved in their community.
The vinvolved team for Leicestershire & Rutland, supported by nearly £600,000 funding from v until March 2011, is working to raise awareness about youth volunteering; encouraging young people aged 16-25 to get positively involved in their community; and working together with groups & organisations to develop the quality and quantity of youth volunteering opportunities and foster youth-led action.
The vinvolved team for Leicestershire & Rutland is managed by ‘Voluntary Action South Leicestershire’; was originally supported by the ‘LeicesterShire Volunteer Centres Network’ and ‘Leicester-Shire & Rutland Sport’; 'and works with 'Leicester-Shire & Rutland Sport'; Community Hubs'; 'Voluntary/Community Actions' and 'Voluntary Action LeicesterShire' (VAL); and a wide range of other organistions to promote youth volunteering and improve the quality and quantity of youth volunteering and youth-led opportunities..
