THE V TEAMvinvolved workers are here to help 16-25 year olds find the right volunteering opportunities and to positively get involved in their community, helping to make a difference for themselves, other people, and the wider community. We want to know what young people are interested in or feel strongly about. We want all young people to find out that through volunteering and getting involved in youth action that they can make a positive difference; help others; learn new skills; make new friends; and have fun too.
The two ‘Volunteer Development Managers’ (YVDM) will work across Leicestershire & Rutland, particularly aiming to develop opportunities for young people and providing information, training and support to organisations regarding the involvement of young volunteers. One post will particularly focus upon volunteering in sports and physical activity with the support of the County Sports Partnership.

The three ‘Youth Volunteer Advisors’ (YVA) will work closely with local ‘Community Hubs’, other workers involved in Volunteering, and Volunteer-involving orgnaisations, providing a brokerage service to young people wanting to volunteer and working with them to identify potential opportunities. They will recruit, support and place volunteers, enable them to have their volunteering recognised, as well as supporting the development of three new ‘Youth Action Teams’.
